Bromley CAMRA Beckenham Beer & Cider Festival 2022

With around 55 Real Ales and 20 Ciders, Bromley CAMRA’s Beckenham Beer Festival will be held once again at Beckenham Rugby Football Club July 28th – 30th 2022. The venue address is Beckenham Rugby Club, Balmoral Avenue, BR3 3RD.The overall theme this year is on local breweries and environmental sustainability. We are therefore supporting the CAMRA national campaigns of LocAle and Drink Greener. We are also promoting the fact that Cask is Back and celebrating the return of cask ales now that all lock-down restrictions have ended. And of course, our venue is situated in the clubhouse and verdant playing fields of a locally renowned rugby club.

Tickets and beer & cider vouchers will go on general sale through the CAMRA online ticketing system from 6:00am on Friday 8th April 2022 and the festival runs over the following three separately ticketed daily sessions:

  • Thu 28th July 12:00 noon until 10:30pm.
  • Fri 29th July 12:00 noon until 11:00pm.
  • Sat 30th July 12:00 noon until 10:30pm (or until the beer runs out!).

Ticket entry prices will be £3 if bought online and £4 at the door. A £7 bargain entry ticket valid for the three festival days is also available online. You are strongly advised to buy your tickets and beer & cider voucher(s) online if possible.

A special event is planned on the opening day of the festival on Thursday 28 July. There will be a unique opportunity to discover a selection of great London beers in the expert company of renowned beer writer and Accredited Beer Sommelier Des de Moor at an exclusive festival tasting.   He will take you through a beer tasting and appreciation of 6 carefully chosen beers. He will also talk about beer styles and the recent astonishing renaissance of brewing in the capital. Places will be limited and cost £6 online or £7.50 at the door, so please book in advance on the online ticket page. Des will also be near the membership stand on Thursday signing copies of the new 3rd edition of his award-winning guidebook London’s Best Beer, Pubs and Bars.

The number of people volunteering to work at the festival is still increasing but we could always do with a few more. You can sign-up at this link.
