Cider of the Festival Award Presentation at The Windmill (Sevenoaks)

The winning cider at the recent 3rd Beckenham Beer Festival was Chiddingstone Medium Dry produced by the Castle Cider Company. We have arranged to make the presentation at The Windmill, which was a national finalist in CAMRA’s Pub of the Year competition in 2014.

The pub is rather off the beaten track, so the most practical means of travel will be by rail to Sevenoaks, and then a cab share from there to the Windmill.

If you wish to take advantage of this please write to and we will endeavor to book the correct number of cabs.

Now in its 44th edition, this pub guide is completely independent with listings based entirely on nomination and evaluation by CAMRA members.

This means you can be sure that every one of the 4,500 pubs deserves their place, plus they all come recommended by people who know a thing or two about good beer.

They have now decided to sell the site and have lodged an Owners Intention to Sell with Bromley Council. This triggers the interim moratorium period (to 8 August 2016) where we register our intention to be treated as a potential bidder.

We now have to start moving to work up our proposal to bid for the Porcupine site.

As a community based group we are serious in our intentions, […..]
