Keeing you updated with the latest Bromley CAMRA Branch news.
The London Outer Orbital Path (LOOP), sometimes called the walkers’ M25, is a fantastic green asset, stretching 150 miles round the edges of London and providing a variety of walking to huge numbers of people. The walking is split into 24 sections, is accessible by public transport and offers everything from short local walks in town centres to a long-distance walking route for starter-finisher hikers.
Approximately 13 miles of the Loop is in Bromley, running from the A222 roundabout on the A20, via Scadbury Park, Petts Wood, Jubilee Country Park, Farnborough, High Elms and Keston to near Coney Hall. This year, the Loop is celebrating its 20th birthday, and throughout September special “Love Your Loop” events are being arranged by The Ramblers and other groups. For more information about the LOOP, and the Love Your Loop events please follow this link.
Bromley CAMRA is leading a walk from Hayes to Chislehurst to give members, friends and all walkers a chance to walk along some of the Loop route within Bromley, and to visit some of the excellent pubs along the route. Full details of the route with approximate distances and timings can be found here.
