We will use the frequent bus service to travel from The Maxwell.
For those joining the crawl here The pub is a short walk from Orpington High Street. Alternatively use bus routes 51, 61, 208 or 353 and alight at High Street/Church Hill. The Goodmead Road stop is slightly closer, but (due to the one-way system) can only be used on buses which are travelling away from the High Street.
Usually two real ales available. The choice tends to vary.

Our annual visit to this excellent festival, which this year features 180 cask ales in various categories from the South East’s finest independent brewers. We will be meeting at 11.15 at Orpington Station, and will be taking the train at 11.34. Please arrive punctually if you wish to take advantage of a groupsave fare with other members. Once again we have arranged another joint social in Crystal Palace, and pubs included in all three branch areas are included. We begin at the Alma which is one of ours. The pub is located on the Crystal Palace triangle itself. To get there, both the 358 and 227 bus routes pass through Bromley Market Square and terminate at Crystal Palace bus station which is a few minutes walk away. The pub is about 550 metres from the Sparrowhawk. To avoid the walk use bus route 322 and alight at Gypsy Hill station which is close to the pub. If you are joining the crawl here, Gypsy Hill station is close to the pub, or use bus route 322 (Crystal Palace to Clapham), alighting at Gypsy Hill station.
