East London micropub tour, starting at Liverpool Street Station
This “out of area” social is a chance to visit three excellent micropubs which have sprung up in recent years, and includes a chance to visit the current Greater London CAMRA Pub of the Year – the Hop Inn. All of the places can be reached with a zones 1-6 travelcard.
We will meet at 11.00am) at Liverpool Street Station (Platform 17) to catch 11:19 train towards Shenfield which we will leave at Gidea Park Station. After that the pubs will visit are as follows:-
1. (12 noon) Gidea Park Micropub, 236 Main Road, Gidea Park RM2 5HA (opens at 12pm)
2. (2pm) Hop Inn Micropub, 122 North Street, Hornchurch RM11 1SU. (opens at 2pm). If you plan to join us here, the pub is a few yards away from Emerson Park London Overground station.
3. (4pm) Upminster TapRoom, 1b Sunnyside Gardens, Upminster RM14 3DT. (opening hours 4-11pm Thu). If you plan to join us here, the pub is a few minutes walk from Upminster rail/overground/tube station.
