Orpington social beginning at the Maxwell.
For those who don’t often visit Orpington, this is a chance to visit two of the better real outlets, both of which are located close to the railway and bus stations.
The Maxwell is a recently refurbished Greene King pub located very close to the station – leave the station using the exit on the bus station side. Obviously many buses also pass the pub.
The pub – under new management – is now much more welcoming, and the beer range now usually includes non GK beers. We plan to meet at 7.00pm
From there we will make the short walk downhill to the Orpington Liberal Club which I suspect needs little introduction for most of our members – frequently a winner of the Greater London CAMRA Club of the Year, and often a finalist in the CAMRA national competition. Arrival time is 8.10pm.
