Out of area social in Blackfen and Sidcup (aka 51 bus social)
Many readers of the diary will be aware of the large number of micropubs which have opened in the Bexley CAMRA area over the last few years. We have noticed that many of them are situated close to bus routes – particularly the high-frequency 51 route (which runs from Orpington to Woolwich), so we have used that fact to plan this social.
If you use the 51 route to reach the first pub, you will need to alight at Blackfen Road, just before the route crosses the A2. From there the itinerary takes us back towards Bromley, and from the final pub, the high-frequency 269 route can be used to get back from Sidcup to Bromley North.
