Saturday visit to Tonbridge.
With the long days of summer now upon us, we have a chance to resume our “out of area” socials again, beginning with a visit to Tonbridge, where the real ale scene is now thriving. The four pubs we will visit are all in the current Good Beer Guide, and all of them are within half a mile of the station. The plan is to meet at Orpington station at 11.40 from where we will take the 11.56 train direct to Tonbridge.
The itinerary after that is as follows:-
12:15 The Nelson Arms, 19 Cromer Street TN9 1UP. (Local branch Pub of the Year).
13:30 The Beer Seller 64 High Street TN9 1EH
14:30 The Humphrey Bean, 94 High Street TN9 1AP
15:30 Fuggles Beer Cafe, 165 High Street, TN9 1BX
Note that the Humphrey Bean is an above-average Wetherspoon outlet, and provides the opportunity to eat.
