IMPORTANT – Unfortunately snow is forecast for Thursday night, and SE trains have decided to operate a “winter timetable” on Friday, and warned that travel might be disrupted.    We will make a decision on whether to go ahead with the trip on Friday morning.   If a trip to Dover seems too risky we might do something more locally, such as visiting the three Sidcup micropubs.   If you wish to be kept abreast of developments, please email social.secretary@bromley.camra.org.uk

A visit by branch members to this superb festival has now become one of the most eagerly anticipated annual events on our calendar. The venue is believed to be the oldest and most historic venue for a beer festival anywhere in the country.

We plan to catch the 11.05 train from Bromley South. Please arrive at the station by 10.50, particularly if you are interested in buying a “groupsave” ticket with other members.

The festival opens at 13.00 – we should be there a few minutes beforehand if the train is punctual. Entrance to the festival is free to CAMRA members. Beers are £3.50 per pint and none are below 5% abv. More information at http://www.camra-dds.org.uk/festival2019.htm
