The Coach & Horses In Beckenham LocAle accredited

The Coach & Horses In Beckenham is now LocAle accredited. They always have Sambrooks and Cronx on tap.

Orpington Liberal Club in final four of CAMRA’s National Club of the Year Competition

For the second time in four years the Bromley Branch Club of the Year, Orpington Liberal Club, made it to the ‘final four’ in CAMRA’s National Club of the Year Competition.  On Friday 3rd June they will be presented with their Finalist award certificate by CAMRA National Executive member Andy Shaw.

The bar opens at 18:00 that evening, with the presentation taking place at 19:30.  This will be followed by a ‘meet the brewer’ session with Locale brewery By The Horns; it is hoped that there will be at least 4 of their beers on the pumps for the evening.  There will then be live music to close the evening.

All CAMRA members are welcome to attend, but please remember to bring your CAMRA membership card with you, as this is required for licensing reasons.

Cider Social Event – May 10th

Bromley Camra will be hosting a Cider Social event on May 10th and includes visits to three venues where real cider (and real ale if you prefer) is always available.

This event is also going to be used to raise awareness for the Bromley Cider Festival on 21st May

Stop 1 – The Sovereign of the Seas – 7:30 pm – 8:25 pm

Stop 2 – One Inn The Wood – 8:30 pm – 9:45 pm

Stop 3 – Orpington Liberal Club – 10:00 pm – 11:00 pm

3rd Kidbrooke Beer and Cider Festival

The 3rd Kidbrooke Beer and Cider Festival will run from 26-28 May 2016 at Charlton Park Rugby Club. Beer prices will be held at £3.00, £3.30 and £3.60 depending on the strength of the beer.

Admission is £1 to card carrying CAMRA members and £2 to non-members.

Around 50 real ales and 20 real ciders and perries will be available – one from as many SE London cask brewers as possible plus a number from around the country – this beer festival is not to be missed!

The festival will be held from Thursday 26 to Saturday 28 May 2016, and will be open from 12 noon until 10.30pm.

Venue: Charlton Park RFC, 60A Broad Walk, Kidbrooke SE3 8NB.

Marvellous May Cider Festival 2016

Bromley CAMRA Third Cider Festival will take place on 21st May 2016 – 11am-11pm.

Entry is £1 for CAMRA Members and £2 for Non-Members

Over 20 real ciders and perrys, Food, Raffle, and Ale.

Only a two minute walk from Bromley South Station and served by many bus routes.

Railway Tavern in Bromley LocAle accredited

The Railway Tavern in Bromley is now LocAle accredited. They will always be having at least one Volden beer on. This will be joined by various guest ales from other London and nearby brewers.

Note they don’t open until 4pm on weekdays.

Bromley Cramble 2016

On Saturday 16th April Bromley CAMRA will once again be joining forces with Bromley Ramblers for a day of walking between some rural pubs . This year’s route is from Farnborough to Keston, via Leaves Green, with a short detour into Surrey for lunch at Fickleshole.

London Drinker Beer & Cider Festival 2016

This years London Drinker Beer & Cider Festival will take place on Wednesday 2nd to Friday 4th March 2016. The event is hosted at Camden Centre, Bidborough St, London, WC1H 9AU.

There are 150 real ales, imported beers (including American beers), ciders and perries, as well as home-cooked food.

The Festival is open:

Wed & Thu: 12 – 3pm free, 5pm -10.30pm £4 (£3 CAMRA members);

Fri: 12 – 10.30pm £4 (£3 CAMRA members).

Last admission 10pm. Wheelchair accessible.

Please note – tickets are not sold in advance, please pay at the door.
