Now in its 44th edition, this pub guide is completely independent with listings based entirely on nomination and evaluation by CAMRA members.
This means you can be sure that every one of the 4,500 pubs deserves their place, plus they all come recommended by people who know a thing or two about good beer.

The Porcupine Development Group is a community group based in Mottingham London SE9. Our remit is to get our local pub, the Porcupine re-opened. The pub was purchased by Lidl in early 2014 and was promptly closed. We have campaigned to stop Lidl demolishing the Porcupine, and replacing it with a Lidl supermarket. This triggers the interim moratorium period (to 8 August 2016) where we register our intention to be treated as a potential bidder.
We now have to start moving to work up our proposal to bid for the Porcupine site.

For the second time in four years the Bromley Branch Club of the Year, Orpington Liberal Club, made it to the ‘final four’ in CAMRA’s National Club of the Year Competition. On Friday 3rd June they will be presented with their Finalist award certificate by CAMRA National Executive member Andy Shaw.
The bar opens at 18:00 that evening, with the presentation taking place at 19:30. This will be followed by a ‘meet the brewer’ session with Locale brewery By The Horns; it is hoped that there will be at least 4 of their beers on the pumps for the evening. There will then be live music to close the evening.
All CAMRA members are welcome to attend, but please remember to bring your CAMRA membership card with you, as this is required for licensing reasons.
Bromley Camra will be hosting a Cider Social event on May 10th and includes visits to three venues where real cider (and real ale if you prefer) is always available.
This event is also going to be used to raise awareness for the Bromley Cider Festival on 21st May
