Our social begins at the Whyte Lyon – a well-maintained Shepherd Neame pub which has a stop nearby on the high-frequency 261 and 358 routes. Alight at Farnborough Common / PRU Hospital. Or use the 61, 336 or 353 routes and alight at Locksbottom/St Michael’s church. All of these routes except the 353 also pass Bromley South station. From there we have a short walk to the The Black Horse. This is a spacious Ember Inn with a large real ale choice. As at the time of writing a “Cask Club” operates every Monday and Thursday whereby there is a £1/pint and 50p/half-pint discount on pints of cask ale. Arrival time here is 8:45pm.
