London CAMRA Pub of the Year Runner-up Celebration Evening at the Cockpit
The Cockpit has been judged runner-up in Greater London CAMRA’s Pub of the Year competition for 2024 where it competed against pubs chosen by the other 12 Greater London CAMRA branches. This is a fine achievement for this popular micropub which has only been open since late 2020. A range of at at least 5 non-mainstream real ales are normally available, served from a cold room at the rear of the pub.
From Central Bromley, use buses 162 (Beckenham Junction to Eltham), 269 (Bromley North to Bexleyheath) or the Superloop SL3 service. All three routes can be caught in Central Bromley and also pass Chislehurst station. From other parts of the borough routes 61, 160, 161 or 273 can be used. In all cases alight at Chislehurst War Memorial.
(NB – the Greater London competition winner was the Little Green Dragon in Winchmore Hill which has also won the South-East regional award. It will now compete against three other pubs for the National award).
