Keeing you updated with the latest Bromley CAMRA Branch news.
An annual “Cramble” (CAMRA ramble ) has become something of a branch tradition and offers a chance to combine a healthy walk with visits to some of our more rural pubs, all of which serve cask ale. The route mainly follows some of Bromley CAMRA’s “pub walks”. Click here to see details of all of our pub walks. This cramble is rather shorter and less arduous than some of the previous ones.
Our plan is to meet at Knockholt Station at noon. This station is located between Orpington and Sevenoaks and is the final station on the line for which Oyster cards, 60+ cards and London Freedom Passes can be used. There is a train scheduled from Orpington at 11:44 which will arrive at Knockholt at 11:50.
The walk will begin at noon, and will follow the itinerary below. (Timings are approximate).
12:00 Depart Knockholt station and walk to the Bo-Peep Hewitts Rd. BR6 7QL Chelsfield. Arrive 12:30.
13:15 Depart the Bo-Peep and walk to the Five Bells, Church Rd BR6 7RE. Arrive 14:30.
15:15 Depart the Five Bells and walk to The Chelsfield, 1 Windsor Drive BR6 6EY, arr. 16:00
This final pub is adjacent to Chelsfield railway station and is also served by the local R1 bus route which runs between Orpington and Green Street Green.
